James Cameron Has Four Scripts for 'Avatar' Sequels
Movie

Composer James Horner hints at a possible fifth movie while giving update on the much-awaited 'Avatar' sequels.

AceShowbiz - James Cameron has said multiple times that he plans to make three movies for "Avatar" sequels, but the franchise could expand beyond the original four-part series. The chance for a possible fifth installment is hinted by the director's frequent collaborator James Horner.

"He's got four sequels script-wise, and he's trying to make it into three. And I think that's where the effort is going right now," the composer spilled the tidbit in a new interview with HeyUGuys. "How do you keep it from expanding into a fifth movie?"

"Avatar 2" was originally scheduled for 2016 but it's now pushed back to 2017. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Stephen Lang will reprise their respective roles as Jake Sully, Neytiri, and Colonel Miles Quaritch respectively, while Sigourney Weaver is expected to return as a new character.

Cameron once explained why a trilogy was not enough to tell the "Avatar" story, "I've come to realize that Avatar's world, story and characters have become even richer than I anticipated. It became apparent that two films would not be enough to capture everything I wanted to put on screen."
