Ellen DeGeneres and Matt Lauer ended their so-called feud at The Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday, April 26. Their final joke came to an end through a video which showed a naked, dancing Lauer more than two months after they started their fake war.

The video aired at the beginning of the awards ceremony. "In the spirit of the Daytime Emmys, Ellen and I are here to announce that we are officially ending our prank war," Matt explained. Although the statement said that the prank war was over, the audience were shocked when the video showed Lauer taking off his suit. It was actually an edited-video which used somebody else's body attached to Lauer's face. After he ripped off his clothes and showed his abs, he began to dance wearing black lace stockings. His nipples were covered with tasseled-pasties.

"Matt, please! This is a dignified celebration. Oh my God, pull it together!" Ellen asked him to stop the silly action. It was later learned that the video wasn't just a joke. It had a purpose related to a charity. They both promised to donate $1000 every time an Emmy winner thanked him in a speech that night. "These are the real winners. And remember, if you win, please pick me," Lauer said ending the video.
