'It's a comedy. I don't think anybody really had any ill feeling or any intent or anything,' says the rapper/actor of the Netflix film.

AceShowbiz - "The Ridiculous Six" star Vanilla Ice has spoken up amidst controvery about Native American jokes in the movie. Met by TMZ at LAX, the rapper/actor defended the Netflix film, saying that it wasn't written with intent to offend anyone.

"It's a comedy. I don't think anybody really had any ill feeling or any intent or anything. This movie isn't 'Dances with Wolves'. It's a comedy. They're not there to showcase anything about anybody - they're just making a funny movie, I think," he said as he tried to see the issue from both sides. "I don't have anything to do with it," he added. "I just play my part."

"Ridiculous Six" was co-written by Adam Sandler who also stars in the movie. On Wednesday, April 22, Native American actors walked off the set after complaining about racist jokes in the comedy and the producers refused to change the script.

Responding to the walk-out incident, Netflix said in a statement, "The movie has 'ridiculous' in the title for a reason: because it is ridiculous. It is a broad satire of Western movies and the stereotypes they popularized, featuring a diverse cast that is not only part of -- but in on -- the joke."
