Top secret behind military base which covers extra-terrestrial subjects leads three curious guys to seek for evidence that aliens exist.

AceShowbiz - After announcing that "Area 51" will hit Alamo Drafthouse theaters in 16 locations on May 15, Paramount Insurge has released the first trailer for the long-shelved movie. The two-minute trailer features harrowing scenes filmed in "found footage" style.

The video opens with glimpses of information about Area 51, which allegedly is the area where the wreckage of unidentified objects were moved in. The main character, who has a high interest in extra-terrestrial subjects, travels with two of his friends to find evidence of alien existence.

The trio meet a girl to obtain information about the military secret. During the investigation, they start to find some areas such as a room which is seemingly a laboratory. After a series of tragedies, one of them and the girl are thrown away to an all-white strange place.

According to the official synopsis, "three young conspiracy theorists attempt to uncover the mysteries of Area 51, the government's top secret location rumored to have hosted encounters with alien beings. What they find at this hidden facility exposes horrifying, unimaginable secrets."

Oren Peli directs the movie with Jason Blum and Steven Schneider as producers. Peli initially intended to work on this movie right after his "Paranormal Activity", but it took a long six years before it's finally finished. The cast include Reid Warner, Darrin Bragg, Ben Rovner, and Jelena Nik.
