The haunting club banger will lead the former 'American Idol' contestant's new album 'The Original High' that's due out on June 16 via Warner Bros. Records.

AceShowbiz - After being teased with numerous previews, Adam Lambert's "Ghost Town" finally arrived in full on Tuesday, April 21. The "American Idol" alum's new single, the first off his new studio album "The Original High", came along with its lyric video.

"Ghost Town" is a haunting club banger featuring Lambert's signature vocals over the dancey beat and catchy whistle on the hook. In the accompanying video, the song's lyrics flash across the images of fire, smokes and stars-filled sky.

Produced by hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback, "The Original High" is due out on June 16. In addition to the newly-debuted lead single, the 14-song set that marks Lambert's first for Warner Bros. Records will include collaborations with Tove Lo and Queen's Brian May.

"Sonically it feels more contemporary than my previous material. It's definitely pop, but not bubblegum," Lambert recently explained how his forthcoming project would be different from its predecessors. "We have avoided camp and theatrics and have favored a darker, more grounded vibe, and at the same time, it will make you dance!"

He continued, "Lyrically, its very very personal, the album has an overall bittersweet feel to it. Vocally, I think it's my most tasteful, sophisticated work to date. With Max's guidance, I approached a lot of it with more restraint than in the past. Instead of being overly specific, most of the songs are more esoteric and so they're open to interpretation."
