The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences also announces several key dates for next year's Oscars.

AceShowbiz - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has planned ahead for the next three Oscars. On Thursday, March 9, the Academy and ABC announced the dates for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Academy Awards.

The 88th annual ceremony will take place February 28, 2016, and the 89th edition will be held on February 26, 2017. The 90th ceremony, meanwhile, will be pushed back a week to March 4, 2018 to avoid competition with the 2018 Winter Olympics, which will take place February 9-25 in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

AMPAS additionally announced several key dates for next year's ceremony. Nominations voting will run from December 30, 2015 until January 8, 2016. Nominations will be announced on January 14, and final voting will take place on February 13-23.

The 2016 Oscars will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and air on ABC. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who produced the last three Oscars, won't return for next year's edition. No new producer has been announced as of press time.
