FKA twigs returned on Monday, March 23 with new music. The British singer premiered a new song called "Glass & Patron" in its entirety along with its accompanying visuals as part of the 2015 YouTube Music Awards.
The bizarre clip, which she directed herself, sees twigs getting pregnant and giving birth alone in a van in the middle of the woods to multi-colored cloth and a number of dancers who dance under it. Later in the video, the dancers engage in "the most epic vogue battle of all time," according to the singer in a statement.
"Glass & Patron" was co-written and co-produced by Boots, and was previously previewed in twigs' Google Glass ad. The song serves as the first offering from her new EP that she plans to release later this year.
Before the EP officially arrives, Twigs will hit the road this spring and summer for 14 gigs, including performances at the Coachella Festival and the Red Bull Music Academy Festival.
