Jake T. Austin seemingly confirms his character's fate on the ABC Family series as he tweets that his 'time on the show has come to an end.'

AceShowbiz - "The Fosters" is losing one of its family members following the season 2 finale that features a shocking plot twist. Jake T. Austin has announced through his Twitter account that he's no longer a series regular on the ABC Family series.

"I'm honored to have been a part of such a groundbreaking series, but I personally want to let you know that my time on the show has come to an end," so he wrote on Monday night, March 23. "Thank you for letting me be a part of your family, it's been a pleasure." A spokerperson for the network has also confirmed Austin's departure.

While fans may think the worst of Jesus' (Austin) fate following the actor's exit announcement, co-creator Bradley Bredeweg teased on his Twitter that "not everything is what it seems on #TheFosters." He also wished "Jake the very best," adding, "We are still a family."

In the season finale titled "The End of the Beginning", [SPOILER ALERT!] pregnant Ana drives Jesus and Mariana home. On their way, Ana is going into labor. Suddenly, a car smashes into them and a 911 call reveals there's one fatality in the accident, but the victim is not known yet.
