Jamie Foxx has shot down rumors that he's romancing Katie Holmes. The "Django Unchained" actor was caught by a paparazzo on Friday, March 20 while walking back to his car after visiting an ATM in Westlake.

Asked about the rumors, Jamie replied, "Oh come on you guys have been trying to make that stick for three years." The paparazzo then asked, "Any tryst on it?" The actor said, "No, we're just friends."

As for the picture obtained by Us Weekly which showed him and Katie holding hands, Jamie said, "As a matter of fact Anthony Zuiker, creator of 'CSI', he offered us an animation project and we're working on that. They have been trying to do that for three years - just stories I guess. You just have to respect - that's just part of our lives."

Jamie looked relaxed as he took selfie with a fan and whistled when getting in his car.

Dating rumors between Jamie and Katie emerged on Tuesday, when PEOPLE reported that the duo had been spending a lot of time together for over a year. On the next day, Us Weekly published a photo of the rumored couple holding hands at a studio. The publication claimed Jamie and Katie first hooked up in 2013 and the 47-year-old actor called her "my girl."

When similar rumors began swirling in 2013, Jamie also denied any romance between him and Katie. "[The rumors] are one hundred percent not true. In fact, it's quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people," he told ET.
