A trailer preview for the upcoming videogame action comedy "Pixels" has just been released via the film's official Twitter. The 10-second clip provides a quick glimpse of what its upcoming official trailer will offer. "Prepare yourself for an invasion of epic proportions. #PixelsMovie trailer is coming in 2 days," so read its accompanying tagline.

Based on Patrick Jean's spectacular short film, "Pixels" will center its story on "a group of 80s arcade game champions who are called upon to help defend Earth from alien invaders who have misinterpreted our classic arcade games as a declaration of war." The Columbia Pictures' film is slated to be released on August 12 in the U.K. and July 24 in the U.S.
Actor-comedian Adam Sandler leads the cast ensemble as Sam Brenner. He is joined by fellow films stars, including Michelle Monaghan, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, Kevin James, and Brian Cox.
