'The final three episodes of #HartofDixie begin tonight. Buckle up, I think you will enjoy the ride. Xo,' so read a tweet posted by the show's creator Leila Gerstein.

AceShowbiz - Leila Gerstein, the creator of drama-comedy series "Hart of Dixie", has hinted that the show might be canceled by The CW after four seasons. The hints appeared on Gerstein's latest tweets.

"The final three episodes of #HartofDixie begin tonight. Buckle up, I think you will enjoy the ride. Xo," so read one of her tweets. "No one out there loves #HOD more than me," Gerstein added. "I would have gone 17 years! But I assure you, we prepared for this... And the finale will be tremendously satisfying to all."

No official statement is released by The CW just yet regarding the cancellation report. Gerstein herself avoided to give direct comment on the matter, telling E! News, "Well, I can't speak to that, as the decision to renew or cancel is out of my hands." She went on saying, "I can tell the fans that this season is for you and you're going to love this season. No one is going to feel unsatisfied by the end. Obviously we hope for many, many more seasons but everyone will be happy with this season."

When asked about her statement that fans "won't be left unsatisfied" with the finale, Gerstein explained, "I will say that there is a lot of closure in the season finale and there is a definite feeling of celebration at the end of the season. Everyone is going to be satisfied that by the end of the 10 episodes, all the central love triangles have been resolved, all the central questions have been answered and we're going to have a lot of fun along the way. We have been saving a lot of stuff for each of the stories and we decided to burn through it all this year." She then concluded, "But there are also certainly doors left open for the future!"

"Hart of Dixie", which debuted back in September 2011, centers its story on a New York City doctor (Rachel Bilson) who moves to a small Alabama town. The fourth and probably final season is scheduled to wrap later this month with next week episode titled "End of Days", while the March 27 finale is simply dubbed "Bluebell".
