The former 'Baywatch' actor will play Gilbert Shepard, Fin's father, in the third installment of Syfy's satirical disaster movie.

David Hasselhoff is added to the cast of "Sharknado 3". The former "Baywatch" actor is tapped to play Gilbert Shepard, the father of Ian Ziering's Fin Shepard. The announcement was made after he hinted at his casting with a picture of a shark's head.

The other cast include Bo Derek as April's mother, Jerry Springer as a manic tourist, NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard, Chris Jericho as a roller-coaster ride operator, Mark Cuban as POTUS, and Ann Coulter as VP.
Fin and April saved Los Angeles in the first "Sharknado" and fought another freak weather system in New York in the sequel "Sharknado 2: The Second One". In the third one, the sharks will wreak havoc in the nation's capital, Washington, D.C., before heading down the Eastern Seaboard.
Anthony C. Ferrante will return to serve behind the lens with the script by original writer Thunder Levin. The satirical disaster TV movie is back on Syfy for more mass destruction this July.
