Iggy Azalea on Why She's Glad She Didn't Win a Grammy: People Hate Me Enough

The 'Fancy' raptress also questions why people were okay with fellow white MC Eminem winning the Best Rap Album award at the ceremony held in early February.

AceShowbiz - Iggy Azalea walked home empty handed at the 2015 Grammy Awards held in early February. The raptress, however, is completely fine about it. In fact, she felt relieved after finding out she lost to other acts in all categories that featured her name.

In a new interview on Power 106's "The Cruz Show", Azalea revealed that she never wanted to win a Grammy in the first place. "I did not want to win that award. My speech would have been like, 'F**k this. I don't want it, take it. Get it away from me,' " she said. "People already hate me enough. I do not need to be hated any more."

Azalea was nominated for four Grammys, including the Best Rap Album for her debut effort "The New Classic". She lost the award to fellow white rapper Eminem. In the interview, the Australian femcee also questioned why people didn't seem to take issue with Em winning the honor.

"I found it to be kind of ironic. It was because I'm white, therefore I'm appropriating culture, but then Eminem won it - who's white and won it many times - and they didn't seem to say anything about that," she continued. "I suspect it was just because they dislike me."
