Luc Besson has been developing new film titled "The Lake" for EuropaCorp and Sullivan Stapleton has been attached to star in it. The action-thriller flick will tell the story of "a group of Navy SEALs attempting to solve a long-forgotten mystery while uncovering an immense treasure hidden in a lake in war-torn Serbia", Deadline reports. It is not known yet on what character the movie hunk would be portraying.

Besson wrote the feature alongside screenwriter Richard Wenk, with Steven Quale on board directing. His involvement in the project, indeed, was already confirmed last year. Shooting will be kicked off this coming April. In the meantime, there haven't been any other names mentioned to join the cast.

Sullivan Stapleton is widely recognized for starring as Greek leader Themistocles in the 2014 film "300: Rise of an Empire". The 37-year-old Australian actor is currently acting as Sgt. Damien Scott on Cinemax's action-military series "Strike Back".
