"X-Men: Apocalypse" reportedly is recruiting a British star for a role in the movie. According to TheWrap, Ben Hardy who is known for playing Peter Beale on BBC One's "EastEnders" is in talks for a "key, as-yet-undisclosed" role. Reps for both 20th Century Fox and Hardy have not responded to requests for comment.

The follow-up to "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will be set in the '80s and already secured Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Alexandra Shipp to play younger Jean Grey, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Storm respectively. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult will also reprise their respective role as Professor X, Magneto, Mystique and Beast.

Patrick Stewart will not be featured in the upcoming movie, but the Xavier depicter has confirmed Ian McKellen's appearance. "Magneto, Ian McKellen, is certainly going to be in it," he told Oregon Live earlier this month.

Production will start in April for a May 27, 2016 release with Bryan Singer serving behind the camera. The director has been sharing updates regarding his work on social media. Last week, he posted a photo of what appears to be the designs for Professor X's Cerebro helmet on Instagram.
