Much contrary to rumors on the street, Snooki has confirmed in a tweet, 'I'm NOT trying to get on nj housewives like magazines are stating.'

AceShowbiz - Amid mounting rumors that Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi would be cast to join "The Real Housewives of New Jersey", the show's executive producer Andy Cohen has confirmed that there's no truth to those circulating claims. "She ain't joining," so he tweeted to a fan of the reality series after he complained of Snooki joining the cast.

Snooki herself has put the brake on the false report, tweeting "P.s- I'm NOT trying to get on nj housewives like magazines are stating." No further comments were made by either Cohen or Snooki regarding the matter.

Rumors saying that Snooki would join "RHONJ" cast have been flooding the news media for quite some time. It was Life & Style which first claimed the reality TV star had been eyeing a spot on the show. "She just changed her whole media team. She's gearing up for a change in her career, and being on Housewives makes sense for her," the publication quoted a source as claiming. Since then rumors were abuzz that Snooki was about to be recruited for the show to fill in the place of Teresa Giudice who is currently in prison.
