Drake is the latest act to pull a Beyonce Knowles. On Thursday night, February 12, the Canadian star surprised fans when he unexpectedly took to Twitter to reveal that he'd made a new project called "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" available on iTunes.

The new release, arriving via Cash Money Records, features 17 new songs including collaborations with Lil Wayne ("Used to"), Travi$ Scott ("Company") and PARTYNEXTDOOR ("Preach" and "Wednesday Night Interlude").

The project appears to be the mixtape which was first teased by Toronto Raptors' DeMar DeRozan. During his appearance on NBA TV back in November, he said that the rapper's new mixtape would come in January.

"If You're Reading This It's Too Late" was dropped on the six-year anniversary of Drizzy's breakout mixtape "So Far Gone". Earlier on Thursday, the Toronto native shared a short film called "Jungle" to celebrate it. The 15-minute video features him strolling around his hometown of Toronto and previewing new music.

Drake is still expected to release "Views From the 6" as the follow-up to his 2013 effort "Nothing Was the Same". The upcoming album currently has no official release date.
