The first official trailer for Fox's "Hitman: Agent 47" is out. Landing online on Wednesday, February 11, it introduces Rupert Friend as Agent 47, an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine.

The first few seconds of the trailer show him sitting facing a gun in an interrogation room. After some questions about who he really is and whom he plans to kill, he tells the interrogator to let him go.

"The last time I checked. You're the one locked in here with me and I have the gun," the interrogator says before 47 kicks the table and uses the bullet to free himself. He later escapes from the room disguising himself as one of the guards.

Based on the popular stealth video game, "Hitman: Agent 47" will find Agent 47 taking on a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of his past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.

The film was directed by Aleksander Bach from a script by Skip Woods and Michael Finch. Also starring Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware, it set to hit U.S. theaters on August 28.
