Bradley Cooper Eyeing 'Orphan X'

Warner Bros. reportedly is in talks to secure movie rights to the book by Gregg Hurwitz and plans to work with Cooper again following the success of 'American Sniper'.

AceShowbiz - Bradley Cooper reportedly is circling another project with Warner Bros. According to a Monday, February 9 report by THR, the studio is in talks to secure movie rights to "Orphan X", a book by Gregg Hurwitz. The "American Sniper" actor is expected to produce and possibly star in the project. "The Hangover" director Todd Phillips will also produce.

The book, which will be published by MacMillan in 2016, tells the story of a "nowhere man" named Evan Smoak who helps others. One day, he is drawn into the world of human slavery orchestrated by a detective at the LAPD. Hurwitz will write the adaptation.

Cooper is currently enjoying the success of his most recent film "American Sniper". The movie which tells the story of the most lethal sniper in the U.S. military history so far has garnered $281.4 million in the U.S. and is a contender in six categories at the upcoming Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Actor trophies for Cooper.

Cooper is currently busy with his Broadway performance in "Elephant Man" which concludes on February 21. The actor was most recently seen walking to the theater, wearing a dark jacket, grey pants and sneakers. He later will bring the play to London stage starting from May 19 to August 8.
