A red band trailer of "Straight Outta Compton" has been released. Arriving online on Sunday evening, February 8, the trailer of the group N.W.A. biopic shows glimpses at what the group members, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, did in the 80s which later launched them as big names in hip-hop.

The trailer starts with an introduction from Dr. Dre and Ice Cube who cruise around the streets in Compton, California in their car. Set in 1987 in the area, the trailer sees N.W.A. as they start working on their music and gaining huge fanbase. "People are scared of you guys. They think you're dangerous. But you have a unique voice. The world needs to hear it," the narrator says.

Midway through the video, Paul Giamatti's music manager character Jerry Heller can be seen asking what N.W.A. stands for. "No White Allowed? Something like that?" he guesses. The trailer also features car race with the police, a pool party with sexy ladies including a naked woman and a press conference with the group's members. At the end of the video, a scene featuring a clash with police is shown.

O'Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell play Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E respectively. Directed by F. Gary Gray, it is set to arrive in the U.S. on August 14.
