Movie

The 'John Wick' star and the 'Mad Men' actress are among stars who will join Elle Fanning in the horror flick directed by the Danish filmmaker.

AceShowbiz - "The Neon Demon" has added some more cast members to its line-up. The upcoming horror movie directed by Nicolas Winding Refn nabs some names such as Keanu Reeves and Christina Hendricks. The "Knock Knock" star and the "Mad Men" actress as well as Jena Malone ("The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1") and Bella Heathcote ("Beneath Hill 60") will join Elle Fanning and Abbey Lee in the movie, Deadline reports.

Previously, it was reported that Fanning would play an "aspiring model who is caught in a world of beauty and demise." However, there is no immediate info regarding the other stars' roles in the movie which is about "vicious beauty." In addition to serving behind the lens, the Danish filmmaker wrote the script with Mary Laws. Production will start on March 30.

Refn has shared how the idea of making the film came to him. "One morning I woke and realized I was both surrounded and dominated by women," he said. "Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty. After making 'Drive' and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of 'The Neon Demon'. This movie is a manifestation of the strong ties between us and will lead to many more adventures."

In Reeves-related news, the actor's film "John Wick" is getting a sequel. Speaking to Movies.com, directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch talk about the follow-up, adding that it was still "very early." Stahelski was quoted as saying, "We want to make sure we have a story and a character that everybody loves and then we'll dress it with action that we promise will be awesome." There is no word if Reeves is coming back for the thriller's sequel.
