Divorce is on the card for the actress and her husband who have been married for 20 years, but reason behind their separation remains unknown.

Tamara Tunie and her husband of 20 years Gregory Generet are separating. Reason that prompted their separation was not disclosed as there haven't been words just yet from the couple themselves regarding the end of their marriage.
Tunie and Generet, who is a jazz musician, got married in 1995 following her divorce from first husband Greg Bouquett in 1991. They have no children together and as of press time they also have not yet filed for divorce.
Back in 2012, in a joint interview with Essence magazine, both Tunie and Generet opened up about having pre-marital counseling for their relationship's longevity. During the interview, both of them gushed about their love and respect for each other and how they always gave support for each other's projects.
Tamara Tunie is best known among TV viewers for his starring role as medical examiner Melinda Warner on the NBC police drama "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit". Besides, she is recognized for her acting on the CBS soap opera "As the World Turns" as attorney Jessica Griffin.
