Suge Knight has been charged with murder and attempted murder after he ran over two men with his pickup truck and killed one of them. The official charges came hours after Suge's $2 million bail was revoked on Monday, February 2.
Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida told Los Angeles Times that Suge's bail was revoked because of "possible flight risk, three-strike candidate, possible witness intimidation issues and his criminal past."
According to the Associated Press, Suge is scheduled to appear before a court in Compton on Tuesday to be arraigned on four felony counts including murder in the death of Terry Carter, "attempted, willful, deliberate, and premeditated murder" involving Cle "Bone" Sloan and two charges of hit-and-run. If convicted, Suge may face life imprisonment.
Suge struck Terry and Cle with his pickup truck at the parking lot of Tam's Burgers on Thursday January 29. Authorities said Suge argued with Cle on the set of "Straight Outta Compton" and he was later asked to leave by security. The argument then resumed in the parking lot where Suge allegedly exchanged punches through the truck window before he ran over Terry and Cle.
However, Suge's attorney James Blatt claimed his client was attacked by four people, including Cle, at the parking lot after Terry requested for a meeting. James said Suge accidentally hit the man because he tried to escape the attack.
