Idina Menzel helped kick off the Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, February 1. Right before the big game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks started, the Broadway star stunned the big crowd at the University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona as well as millions of viewers at home with her rendition of the National Anthem.
Menzel looked gorgeous in all-black ensemble. Unlike her messy performance during the New Year's Eve in Times Square, New York, she flawlessly hit the high note of "The Star-Spangled Banner" before punching her fist in the air as she finished the song.
John Legend also took the field before the game. Sporting a black jacket over a black shirt, the R&B superstar played a soulful rendition of "America the Beautiful" while sitting on a grand piano.
This year's Super Bowl features headlining performance from Katy Perry. The singer is taking the stage during the halftime show along with special guests Lenny Kravitz and reportedly Missy Elliott.
