Tyrese Gibson's social media campaign to land "Green Lantern (2020)" role allegedly has started showing results. After a few days of social media campaign, the "Fast and Furious" star took to Instagram on Wednesday, January 28 to share that he was on his way to Warner Bros. studio, possibly for a meeting. Gibson started showing his interest in taking part in the movie, which is slated for release in 2020, on January 23. Since then, he has posted numerous photoshopped images of him as the DC comics character, writing, "I am fully committed to suiting up for this adventure." He also posted a quote which read, "In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!!!"

This will not be the first "Green Lantern" movie. Back in 2011, Ryan Reynolds played the character, but it received not-so-great response from moviegoers.

Gibson next can be seen in "Furious 7". The highly-anticipated movie which also stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster among others will arrive in U.S. theater on April 3 following a setback in the production with Paul Walker's sudden death.

A behind-the-scene video from the car race-themed movie was released on Wednesday, showing awesome car stunt. The 7-second video sees a car jumping through the window of a building and among the trees in a forest.
