"Togetherness" will continue on HBO for another year. On Tuesday, January 27, the premium cable channel announced that it renewed the new comedy from the Duplass brothers for a second season which will air in 2016.

"We began our love affair with HBO in our parents' living room in 1983," Jay and Mark Duplass said in a joint statement, "and to have these brilliant, creative people put a ring on our fingers with a second season of 'Togetherness' is a real-life dream come true."

Mark Duplass also stars on the show along with Melanie Lynskey, Steve Zissis and Amanda Peet. The half-hour comedy revolves around two married couples living under one roof on the fringes of Los Angeles. The foursome engage in a tragically comedic struggle to follow their personal dreams, while still remaining good friends, siblings and spouses to each other.

According to HBO, so far the show has averaged 2.6 million viewers per episode, prior to additional, time-shifting lifts.
