Marking the former 'American Idol' winner's first proper studio effort since 2011's 'Stronger', the new album is due out on March 3 via RCA Records.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson has set the official release date of her new album, "Piece by Piece". The former "American Idol" winner announced on Twitter on Monday, January 26 that her seventh studio effort would arrive on March 3 via RCA Records.

The album is led by "Heartbeat Song" which debuted at No. 37 on Billboard Hot 100 following its release earlier this month. Also on Monday, Clarkson premiered a colorful lyric video for the upbeat pop/rock song co-written by Kara DioGuardi in anticipation of its official music video.

"Piece by Piece" marks the singer's first proper full-length in three years. Since releasing "Stronger" back in 2011, she put out her first greatest hits collection "Greatest Hits - Chapter 1" in 2012 and a Christmas set "Wrapped in Red" in 2013.

To support her new LP, Clarkson has confirmed her plan to go on a tour. "We actually have a tour already planned and in the works starting in the summer of 2015," she said during a phone interview on "The Elvis Duran Morning Show" recently.
