New info related to Rihanna's new album has emerged. John Newman let it slip in a new interview with Billboard that he had been in the studio with the Bajan beauty to work on her new album, which is tentatively titled "R8".

Newman isn't the only one to help her with her highly-anticipated project. The British musician added that his "Blame" collaborator Calvin Harris was also on board. "We started to look at tracks to put together for Rihanna," he told Billboard before revealing he'd also reunite with the Scottish DJ for his own new album.

"We have booked some time to work on my album," he said of his new LP. "It feels like a Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars kind of thing, where I work with somebody for a long time. I've had more time to think and pull it all together on this record. And hopefully, I'll have more of a presence in America."

Previously, Harris who teamed up with Rihanna for 2011's "We Found Love" said that he wouldn't be on her new album after she rejected all the songs he'd written for her. ''No, I'm not on the Rihanna album," he stated. ''I did a few things for it but they don't get back to you, there are a lot of people involved... It's okay because I'm working on my stuff and it's going fine.''

"R8" has been in the works for a while, but there's still no official word on when it will finally arrive. Last year, RiRi teased it by previewing a song and sharing a photo that's reportedly taken while she was filming something related to her eighth studio effort near the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
