AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has shown her support to TLC's plan to make their new album independently without financial support from any label. The "Dark Horse" songstress has donated $5,000 a Kickstarter campaign launched by the group on Monday, January 19.
"A BIG Special THANK YOU 2 @katyperry for her pledge to our #Kickstarter Campaign!" Tionne Watkins a.k.a. T-Boz wrote on Twitter on Tuesday. "Your awesome!" The group has now reached their goal of $150,000 with 28 days still left.
Before releasing a new album, T-Boz and Rozonda Thomas a.k.a. Chilli will join New Kids on the Block on a tour across North America. The gigs will kick off May 1 in Las Vegas and end on July 2 in New York.
Chilli hinted that they would collaborate on stage, telling E! News, "We're going to come out on some of their [songs]. We're going to study [their dance moves] every day and then we are going to pop up."
NKOTB, on the other hand, helped fund the girls' final album by donating $10,000 to their Kickstarter.
