'The Walking Dead' Midseason Trailer: This Is How We Survive
TV

Rick and the group are back on the road and fight to survive as they try to 'find hope' beyond fear.

AceShowbiz - AMC has released a new promo for the second half of "The Walking Dead" season 5 to tide fans over the show's return. It sees Rick and the group walking through a jungle and fighting walkers on the road. Daryl seemingly separates from the group as he's seen alone in some scenes.

"We do what we need to do and then we get to live," Rick tells his friends while sitting in the dark. "I know we'll be okay because this is how we survive," he adds as the video hints at hope "beyond fear." Michonne then says towards the end of the snippet, "Don't you want one more day with a chance?"

"The Walking Dead" returns with the remainder of its fifth season on Sunday, February 8 at 9 P.M. ET on AMC. The show recently cast newcomer Ross Marquand as a new series regular who will be introduced at some point during the last eight episodes.

His role is not revealed yet, but there has been a speculation that he may portray Aaron, a resident of the Alexandria Safe-Zone. In the comic, Aaron crosses path with Rick and the group while they are on the way to Washington, D.C., and recuits them to join his community.

Aaron has a boyfriend named Eric and many believe that "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman was referring to Aaron when he said last November that "a very prominent gay character from the comics" would be debuting in the second half of season 5.
