The country-turned-pop superstar has responded to the video shared recently by the Dover Police Department via their Facebook page, tweeting, 'LOLOLOLOL THE SASS.'

AceShowbiz - A police officer was caught showing off his lip-syncing skills while in his patrol car. A video recorded with a dashcam showing Master Cpl. Jeff Davis singing along to Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" was recently shared by the Dover Police Department via their Facebook page and it quickly went viral.

The video opens with a message saying, "While reviewing in-car cameras, we tend to see some 'interesting' things. We decided to share them with you in a new series called ... 'Dash Cam Confessionals'." Later, Davis appears on the screen and starts lip-syncing the hit song. He also busts out some dance moves while driving the car through the streets.

The viral video didn't go unnoticed by Swift. The department posted a screengrab of the singer's response to the clip. "LOLOLOLOL THE SASS," she wrote on Twitter.

Dover Police Department public information officer Mark Hoffman has made it clear that Davis' video was staged. He told TODAY that the whole thing only took about 8 minutes to film. He also explained the purpose of the project, "Our goal is just to hit our local followers and thank them and for it. To have the impact that it has, it's pretty astounding."

"We've received so many calls and messages from police officers and families and civilians saying thank you," Hoffman added. "If it helps brighten up one person's day, we've done our job."
