Amy Adams breaks her silence on the cancellation of her interview on "Today" show. The actress was supposed to appear on the breakfast show to promote her new film "Big Eyes" before it was dramatically axed, leaving her "confused and definitely frustrated."

Talking to USA Today at a Los Angeles screening of the movie, Adams admits she did show her reluctance to answer any question about Sony hacking scandal. "I expressed that I was uncomfortable. I said I would rather not add my voice to this conversation," she says. "But it was clear they were drawing a hard line. That this would be part of the conversation."

"I walked away from the conversation and went up to the room to do the interview," she remembers. "I assumed they were going to ask me about (Sony hacking). And I was prepared for that, to whatever degree I was prepared." But minutes later, "I was informed that they had decided to pull the interview," she says. "I was confused and definitely frustrated. I still don't understand."

The "Man of Steel" actress was rumored getting aggressive in the green room. She says she did take the unusual step of speaking to the producers rather than media representatives. "I feel like I don't have trouble standing up for myself. This was situation I chose to speak for myself," she comes to her own defense.
