A new trailer for Bradley Cooper-starring film "American Sniper" has landed online, highlighting his character as he juggles his roles as a sniper and a family man with a young child. Arriving on YouTube on Thursday, December 18, the 2-minute video sees Cooper's character, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, getting emotional.

The trailer starts with someone interviewing Kyle about his record as the most lethal sniper in U.S. military. "I'm willing to meet my creator and answer for every shot that I took," he says.

Scenes of his wedding, his days with family, his service in Iraq and him making difficult decision when a boy takes a grenade launcher and aims it at the U.S. troops are also shown. "Give me a minute," he tells his wife (played by Sienna Miller) in a phone conversation at one point before breaking down in tears. "I'm ready. I'm ready to come home," he says in the end of the video.

Based on "American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History", the war movie directed by Clint Eastwood also stars Luke Grimes, Kyle Gallner and Jake McDorman among others. It arrives in U.S. theaters on Christmas Day.

On Thursday, Robert de Niro showed his support to the movie by hosting a special screening in New York. In addition to the veteran actor, who took part in "Silver Linings Playbook" with Cooper, the event was attended by Kyle's widow Taya.

Recently, she shared in an interview with Military Times that she was happy with how the movie turns out. "If there was ever going to be a movie that was even going to come close to getting it right, this was it," she said. "Whenever you lose someone, you're always afraid, 'What if I forget something? What if I miss something?' This helps that. It's been a really beautiful thing."
