Logan Guleff and Samuel Stromberg go head-to-head in the season finale where they are tasked to prepare a three-course menu in 90 minutes.

AceShowbiz - Another young homecook has nabbed the title of "MasterChef Junior". In the season 2 finale aired on Tuesday, December 16, Logan Guleff and Samuel Stromberg were battling it out to win the trophy and a $100,000 prize.
The final task was to prepare a three-course menu in 90 minutes. They both planned highly technical dishes and planned to use liquid nitrogen. The two junior chefs showed their high cooking skills and eliminated contestant Mitchell Vasquez said it's like watching mad scientists work.
The boys completed their dishes within the given time. For the appetizer, Samuel served chicken oysters with pickled cucumber and spicy crisp rice. Gordon Ramsay said it's visually stunning but thought there's a little too much vinegar. Logan served saffron spot prawns with olive remoulade and smoked aioli which earned positive reviews from the judges.
Next was the entree round. Samuel prepared seared Arctic char with coconut saffron curry. Graham Elliot said he nailed the fish but the seasoning was a bit heavy. Logan served a salt-crusted branzino for the judges. Gordon said the fish was delicious but the sauce was a little over the top.
For the dessert, Samuel made a kaffir lime panna cotta with passion fruit and raspberry. Joe Bastianich said it's crazy brilliant and sophisticated. Logan made meyer lemon Madeleines with goat cheese mousse and berry compote which Graham described as being sophisticated and balanced.
After some deliberation, the judges announced Logan as the winner of "MasterChef Junior" season 2. The 11-year-old boy gushed, "I can't believe I won. This is just like crazy talk. This feeling is super surreal. It feels like dream land, it feels amazing, life-changing. This is definitely one of the best days of my life." He added, "But it's not about the money or the trophy, it's about making friends forever."
