The 'Mad Men' star joins Luke Wilson, Imogen Poots and more in the one-hour comedy pilot, 'Roadies'.

AceShowbiz - Christina Hendricks will join "Roadies" for her post-"Mad Men" gig. The five-time Emmy-nominated actress is cast in the one-hour comedy pilot from Cameron Crowe which has been developed for Showtime.

The 39-year-old beauty will portray Shelli, a band's production manager who is tough, but privately emotional, married to her job and scary-good at it. She will co-star Luke Wilson, who plays road-weary, sleep-deprived tour manager Bill and is work partner to Hendricks' Shelli.

The pilot itself follows the day-to-day life of a successful rock tour as seen through the eyes of the behind-the-scenes crew members. Also joining the cast are Imogen Poots as first-rate electrical tech Kelly Anna, Keisha Castle-Hughes as the band's outspoken and passionate sound mixer, Rafe Spall as a wildly successful British financial advisor sent by management to oversee the crew's budget, and Peter Cambor as an offbeat American anglophile guitar tech.

Crowe wrote the pilot and will direct it. Winnie Holzman will serve as executive producer and showrunner. J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk and Crowe will also executive produce the show, with Kathy Lingg as co-executive producer. Filming is scheduled take place in Vancouver early 2015.
