Earlier speculations claiming that Drake and P. Diddy's fight was over a song are apparently true. TMZ reports that the altercation, which resulted in Drizzy's hospitalization, stemmed from the beat on his "0 to 100/ The Catch Up" which he released earlier this year.

The beat was produced by Boi-1da and was sent to both rappers earlier this year. While Diddy sat on the beat for months, Drake turned it into the "0 to 100" which later became a hit and even earned him two Grammy nominations, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

Diddy ran into Drake for the first time since the song's release while attending a birthday party of DJ Khaled at club LIV in Miami on Monday, December 8 and that was when the fight between them broke out.

According to the site, Combs confronted the Canadian rapper and told him, "You'll never disrespect me again!" before punching him in the shoulder, causing his pre-existing shoulder injury to get worse. Drake then rushed to the hospital to seek medical attention while Diddy returned inside the club.

Reps for both Drake and Diddy haven't commented on the incident yet.
