It looks like Lil Wayne's wish to part ways with his longtime label Cash Money will be coming true. Days after launching a Twitter rant against the label following another "Tha Carter V" delay, the rapper addressed the fallout and said he might be really leaving Birdman "soon" during a live performance at VICE's 20th anniversary party earlier this week.

"I was supposed to drop my new album December 9, but due to technical difficulties I'm f**ked up in a bad situation," he told the crowd while taking the stage at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in Brooklyn, New York. "But I will be out of this soon and I do it for y'all. So put the motherf**kin' fives up for 'Carter V'."

"Tha Carter V" was already pushed back numerous times before its first part was set for release on December 9. Weezy openly blamed Cash Money and its chief executive Birdman for the latest delay, tweeting on Thursday, "To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it. This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation."

Later on Thursday, TMZ caught up with Wayne's manager Cortez Bryan outside a club in West Hollywood and asked him if everything's okay between the rapper and the label. "We good," he claimed. "I wouldn't be smiling if there were problems, I wouldn't be out at the club enjoying myself."
