Justin Bieber's dog Karma was thrown off second-story balcony by his father Jeremy Bieber, TMZ reported. Karma's trainer Trevor Dvernichuk told the site that Jeremy "grabbed the dog and hurled him off the balcony into a snow bank" after the dog bit Jaxon.

According to Trevor, Jeremy told him to take Karma and not bring it back until it was socialized. After knowing that Trevor started to tell people that Karma was abandoned, Jeremy then told police that the trainer stole the dog.

Trevor originally told the site that he would return Karma back because he didn't want a legal hassle although he's still concerned about Karma's welfare. However, he later stated that he would get lawyers involved and might want some money for his services.

Last year, Justin was slammed by PETA after buying Karma. He was criticized for failing to give a good example to his fans by buying a puppy from a pet shop instead of adopting one from a shelter.

At that time, PETA's Senior Vice President of Cruelty Investigations Daphna Nachminovitch told WENN of Justin's action, "Whether or not reports are true that Justin Bieber purchased a puppy from a pet store for $600, PETA wants to remind everyone that when you buy a dog or cat from a pet store or breeder, you sentence an animal in a shelter to death."

"Six to eight million homeless animals enter shelters every year, and half of them must be euthanised for lack of a good home, so there is no excuse for buying an animal, no matter who you are," she added.
