Once a dashing hero, Galavant can't even ride his horse properly in one of the sneak-peek videos.

ABC is gearing up to release musical comedy "Galavant" and has released more promos for the upcoming new series. One of the short sneak peeks highlights the titular character played by Joshua Sasse.

"In a dark and dangerous world, a hero is coming," a narrator says as the scenes show Galavant's nemesis King Richard (Timothy Omundson) and Galavant's ladylove Madalena (Mallory Jansen) before capturing Galavant in action. Later, looking less charming in a dull outfit, Galavant runs to his horse and tries to hop on it but he falls instead.

Once a dashing hero, Galavant is a bit out of shape and flat broke after the love of his life Madalena chose fame, fortune, and the crown over Galavant and married King Richard. When Princess Isabella of Valencia asks "The Great Galavant" to save her kingdom from its evil invader, King Richard, Galavant must get back in the saddle, literally and figuratively, to take revenge on his nemesis, win back Madalena, and restore his "happily ever after."

Dubbed as a 4-week "comedy extravaganza", "Galavant" is supported by John Stamos, Ricky Gervais and Weird Al Yankovic in guest-starring roles. They are highlighted in the other new promo video.

The new series premieres Sunday, January 4 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC as the mid-season fill-in for "Once Upon a Time".
