Jerry Seinfeld clarified his recent comment about him being on autistic spectrum. The funnyman explained the statement on autism in a new interview with Access Hollywood, saying that he's not autistic. "I don't have autism, I'm not on the spectrum," he said. "I just was watching this play about it and thought, 'Why am I related to it on some level?' That is all I was saying."

Earlier this month, Seinfeld said in an interview with Brian Williams on "NBC Nightly News" that he believed he was on autistic spectrum. "I think, on a very drawn-out scale, I think I'm on the spectrum," he shared.

"Basic social engagement is really a struggle. I'm very literal, when people talk to me and they use expressions, sometimes I don't know what they're saying," he explained. "But I don't see it as dysfunctional, I just think of it as an alternate mindset."

During the conversation, Seinfeld added that he and fellow comedians had something in common in regards to conversational skills. "All the comedians that we've had on Comedians in Cars, usually at some point in the show... I ask them, 'Do you have trouble talking to just regular people?' And they always say 'yes,' " he said.
