"Colin was a wonderful talented son," read the statement released to Us Weekly. "Unfortunately he had an addiction bigger than himself. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers go out to all families coping with children facing addiction."

County Coroner's office told Radar Online that the son of Stone's brother Michael was found dead of apparent heroin overdose at his apartment on November 10 "during a welfare check by his apartment manager." He added, "His death was recorded as a possible overdose, pending toxicology reports."
