The rescue mission is carried on in the next episode of "The Walking Dead". Rick, Daryl, Noah, Sasha and Tyreese leave the church to rescue Beth and Carol, while some others hold down the church.
In the church, Carl tells Father Gabriel to choose a weapon. "You need to learn how to defend yourself. We can teach you," he says. Father Gabriel replies, "Defend myself? They said they'd go," referring to the Termites that Rick killed.
"They were liars and murderers," Carl argues. Father Gabriel retorts, "Just like us." Carl disagrees, saying, "We protected ourselves. They wanted us death." He tries to convince Father Gabriel that they may not be able to stay in the church for a long time.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Beth overhears an officer telling Dawn that the patient they recently brought in, presumably Carol, is not looking so good. "Are we really going to keep wasting valuable resources on this lady?" he asks.
Beth then joins in on the conversation, claiming that the DVD player the officer uses everyday consumes more power than the medical equipment to keep Carol alive does. Dawn, not happy that Beth interrupts them, agrees to turn off the machines. "You just killed that woman," Dawn tells Beth.
"Crossed" will air Sunday, November 23 at 9/8c on AMC. Only two episodes are left before the show hits pause and returns in midseason 2015. "This confrontation is definitely going to be substantially different from the confrontation with The Governor (David Morrissey) or Gareth (Andrew J. West)," Kirkman says of the midseason finale.
