"Unbroken" star Jack O'Connell and "August: Osage County" actress Julia Roberts are in negotiation to star in new movie "Money Monster". They are expected to share screen with George Clooney in the drama thriller.
It will become Clooney's reunion with Roberts after their collaboration in 2004's "Ocean's Twelve". Jodie Foster sits behind the lens, marking the actress' first directorial project since 2011's "The Beaver". Production will begin in spring.
Clooney plays a TV personality, Lee Gates, whose insider trading tips have made him the money guru of Wall Street. When a viewer (O'Connell) lost all of his family's money on a bad tip from the money expert, he decides to hold the stock picker hostage on air.
Ratings soar and the media frenzy ensues as the entire country tunes in to find out Gates' fate. As the world watches, he must stay alive and uncover the truth behind a tangle of big money lies with help from the show's producer (Roberts).
