AceShowbiz - "The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist" is set to haunt moviegoers on June 10, 2016. The sequel to the successful 2013 horror flick was initially set to hit theaters across the nation on October 23, 2015, but in October Warner Bros. Pictures decided to push it back to a year later.
The second installment of the horror movie franchise will have James Wan returning to the director's seat. Shooting is expected to begin next summer, after the helmer finishes promoting "Furious 7", the latest installment in the "Fast and Furious" movie franchise.
Plot details of "The Conjuring" sequel are still unknown, but Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are expected to reprise their roles as real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The first movie raked in $320 million worldwide on a $20 million budget.
