Kacey Musgraves had a wardrobe malfunction during the 2014 Country Music Association Awards, which took place in Nashville on Wednesday, November 5. The singer revealed to reporters in the press room that she lost her underwear right before she performed.
Musgraves wore a sequined minidress with large sheer side panels when she sings "You're Looking at Country" with the legendary Loretta Lynn. "Right before I sang, my panties totally came off," she said. "They were the stick-on kind. They were stuck on, and then they weren't. I had to rip them off and throw them somewhere. If you see them, they're mine."
Prior to the performance with Lynn, Musgraves took the stage to collect Song of the Year award for her hit "Follow Your Arrow". Sporting big hair, she donned a bejeweled pink dress while accepting her trophy from Darius Rucker and Tim Tebow.
"I can just honestly say, for a song that I was told could never and would never be a single, it just blows my mind, and it gives me a lot of faith that people still love connecting with a message and spreading something when they love it," she said of the song. "It's an anthem for all kinds of people, and I could not be more proud."
