AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd Charged With Attempting to Procure a Murder

Phil Rudd apparently is facing serious legal trouble. The AC/DC drummer has been charged with attempting to procure murder of two people in New Zealand where he resides since the 1980s. Rudd appeared in Tauranga District Court on Thursday afternoon, November 6 local time after his home was raided by police in the morning.

According to Stuff.co.nz, Rudd was also charged with possessing the drugs methamphetamine and cannabis and threatening to kill. The Australian-born star is released on bail and is set to make an appearance in court on November 27. As a part of the bail, Rudd is not allowed to leave Tauranga or contact other people connected to the case.

Wearing a gray sweater and jeans, Rudd did not speak to media who gathered outside the court and quickly left in a silver Mercedes driven by a woman.

Rudd was kicked out of AC/DC in 1983 before rejoining the members in 1994. The metal group is now gearing up for the release of their new album "Rock or Bust". The follow-up to 2008's "Black Ice" is set to hit stores on December 2.
