Jay-Z is expanding his business. The rap superstar, who ventures in a record label and talent agency business among others, has just bought stake in Armand de Brignac champagne line owned by Sovereign Brands. The financial terms, however, were not disclosed.

"We are proud to announce that Sovereign Brands, a New York-based wine and spirits company owned by the Berish family, has sold its interest in the Armand de Brignac ('Ace of Spades') Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally renowned Shawn 'Jay Z' Carter," the company said in a statement on Wednesday, November 5.

"We have had a wonderful relationship with Jay Z throughout the years since he first discovered Armand de Brignac. He became interested in owning the brand and made us an offer we simply couldn't refuse," said Yvonne Lardner, global director of brand communications for Sovereign, as quoted by The New York Times.

Beyonce Knowles' husband has been showing interest in "Ace of Spade". The bottle makes an appearance in a music video for "Show Me What You Got" in 2006. He also featured the bubbly drink at a fund-raising event for President Obama in 2012.
