Leighton Meester has unveiled the music video for her single "Heartstrings". Hitting Vevo on Thursday, October 30, it is a simple but beautiful clip that gives tons of glimpses at the former "Gossip Girl" star striking various poses in several outfits.
The first part of the video mostly features Meester showing off her vulnerable side as she sings about an ex-boyfriend who took her for granted. She eventually smiles and looks happy after she realizes she doesn't need him.
"Heartstrings" appears on Meester's long-awaited debut album of the same name which was released earlier this week. " 'Heartstrings' speaks to vibe and encompasses a lot of the themes of the rest of the album," the star recently told Billboard. "It's been a long time coming and I'm very excited to finally release it."
The nine-song LP was written by Meester and produced by Jeff Trott.
