"Underworld" TV series is in development. During a visit to New York Comic-Con, Len Wiseman who directed the first two installments of the movie series teases that there is an effort to bring the vampires vs. werewolves saga to the small screen.

Wiseman also says that the franchise will still continue with his wife Kate Beckinsale while a spinoff starring "Divergent" actor Theo James is in the works. "Another film is being developed with Kate possibly as well," he explains.

The first film arrived in 2003, followed by a sequel "Underworld: Evolution" in 2006, a prequel "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" in 2009, and a threequel "Underworld: Awakening" in 2012. Beckinsale starred in all four, and James played her ally in "Awakening".
