It was a quickie renewal for "Survivor's Remorse". Starz has given the freshman comedy produced by LeBron James a second-season order just five days after it premiered on the cable network.
The series actually debuted on October 4 to a modest 203,000 total viewers, but saw a multiplatform audience of 1.3 million viewers over the course of its first week. "We're thrilled with the overwhelming critical acclaim Survivor's Remorse has received and we look forward to continuing our partnership with such an all-star team," said network CEO Chris Albrech.
"Survivor's Remorse" will get its second season run in 2015 and the half-hour series is extended from six to ten episodes.
In the Mike O'Malley-created comedy, Jessie Usher stars as Cam Calloway, an NBA star who feels guilty over his success, and believes that he has an obligation to share his good fortune. James executive produced the series together with Tom Werner, Maverick Carter, Paul Wachter and Victor Levin.
